Janell was an early childhood neighbor and lifelong friend. So many memorable experiences.
The Wheeler’s had the first TV on our street (WTVJ—4, 1950). I was invited over Friday evenings to watch the Lone Ranger!
In High School, I helped her to learn to drive a “stick”, her first car, a Hillman I recall. She visited our summer lake place in N Fla summers 57-58 where she and other classmates would water ski together.
Over the years we stayed in occasional touch and when she was last ill, I was fortunate to have a short visit with her at the Black Mountain Rehab Center in late January 09. I did not realized that this was the last time I would see her and share memories of good times past!
