MULTI-AGE PLEASANTVILLE HIGH SCHOOL REUNION!!!!
JULY 24-26, 2009...
IN BOULDER, COLORADO
A special Pleasantville High School reunion is being held out west for all you alumni who can't or prefer not to travel east...and for all you easterners who would love a reason to see the west!!!!
The Dinner Dance will be held at the Boulderado Hotel in Boulder, Colorado...The hotel is celebrating its 100 year birthday in 2009...It is a beautiful Hotel...
Tom Hammond '64 and I (Diane Lewin Stonis '64) have planned this event...We have received a lot of good feedback on this event and now we need to receive definite commitments with your payment of $85 for the Dinner dance on Saturday July 25th 2009...We put a deposit of $1500 down in September and additional deposit is due on January 23,2009. Any payments at this time will be greatly appreciated

Coach Kurachek Passes

Kurachek – Peter William, “Coach” died peacefully on October 12th 2008 after 93 years of a life well lived and characterized by thankfulness. Born on All Saints Day, 1915 Peter kept close to his heart those who predeceased him: his devoted wife Louise, his dear son Michael, parents Peter and Katherine, and brothers, George and John. He is survived by his son Peter (wife Mary), daughter Mary (husband Terry Quiggins), and son Stephen (wife Mary); grandchildren Kathy Kurachek, Jennifer (husband Josh) Kenchel, Amy (husband Richard) Miller, Michael (wife Angela) Quiggins and Sarah (fiancé Ryan Lodgaard), Sam and Peter Kurachek; and great grandchildren Emma and Stella Kenchel ; and Carter and Kellen Quiggins. Peter was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received a Master’s degree in education. He attended the U of K on a football scholarship, revered the opportunity of a college education, and belonged to the honorary education fraternity, Phi Kappa Delta . He enjoyed reminding us that college in his day cost fifty dollars a semester! During World War II Peter served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Corps readying young men for combat. For 32 years he was a successful teacher, high school football coach, and athletic director in Pleasantville, NY. He was a lifelong member of the New York State Teacher’s Association and the American Football Coaches Association. Peter’s teams reflected his life: well prepared, disciplined and passionate. Missionary to Africa

Barbara Lynn Dente is missionary to Kenya, E. Africa. Has been there
since 1998. Prior to that she did missions work in the Marshall Islands,
Micronesia, in the Pacific. She teaches elementary school children and
has adopted one child from Kenya so far who is now age 6.
Her stateside USA home is in Temple, Ga., just outside of Atlanta.
Her name now is Barbara Lynn Hardin.
