About	Evelyn Irene Hubbard, passed away at the age of 90 in the home her husband Richard "Snuffy" Earl Hubbard built for them. Evelyn was born in Denver Colorado June 12, 1928. As a child , she came with her family to California and they operated the "Dutch Lunch" restaurant in Applegate. She graduated from Placer High School in 1946 where she was a member of the choir. She met a nice young man who stopped to help change a tire for her family and three months later they were married September 20, 1946. They were married for 65 years before he passed away in 2012. During WWII Evelyn worked at the DeWitt Hospital with her mother in the laundry. After graduation, she worked at P G & E in Auburn as a switchboard operator and secretary until 1954. She was proud of the fact that she helped get electricity out to her in-laws in "Hubbardville" in North Auburn. She was a room mother, a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Placer County Historical Society, Mother Singers, and Sewing Club. She loved to crochet and garden. Richard and Evelyn loved to take bus trips to Reno and spending time with their children and grandchildren. They rarely missed a baseball game, soccer game, art exhibit, dance recital or any other event their grandchildren were involved in. Evelyn leaves behind her children Ella Hrubant (Mark), Ft.Worth TX, Irene Deen, Beaverton, OR, Susan Owen (Dave), Loomis CA, 6 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
