About	My name is Barbara Gandel, and my daughter, Jennifer, will not get to celebrate your 20th class reunion; she died August 1, 2002 of a pulmonary embolism 5 1/2 weeks after surgery. We have created The Jennifer Gandel Kachura Foundation to honor her memory. The Foundation donates to Neo-Natal Intensive Care Units. We are dedicated to improving the lives of these tiny and sick newborns with donations of medical equipment, developmental toys, programs that offer parent support. We donated $200,000 to remodel Sinai Hospital's NICU which in 2006 was dedicated as The Jennifer Gandel Kachura NICU. Help us continue helping those so tiny that their fight is the fight for life. I would be happy to send anyone a brochure or answer anyone's questions. Please remember Jennifer, no mother wants her child forgotten, whether she had her for a few days or 28 years.
