About	OAKLAND — Funeral services for Stanley Mock, an Oakland police officer who worked the Chinatown walking beat for the last few years, will be held today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Oakland. Mock was killed Saturday while riding his personal motorcycle near the entrance to Cal State East Bay near Pine Hollow Road in Concord, police said. He was 38. Police said he struck a tree about 5:30 p.m. Mock, a resident of Clayton, was off duty at the time of the accident, police said. Born Oct. 3, 1968, in Oakland to Bing and Pui Fong Mock, he graduated from Piedmont High School in 1986 and from the Oakland Police Department Police Academy in 1998. He was married and had two children. During his nearly 10 years on the force, he worked patrol and as the Chinatown beat officer, where he used his Chinese language skills to communicate with the district's large number of Chinese-speaking merchants and residents, police officials said. He was a member of the Oakland Police Officers Association and the Oakland Asian Police Officers Association. He enjoyed movies, music, working out and spending time with family and friends. Services will begin at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2808 Lakeshore Ave., with the Rev. Jayson Landeza officiating. Burial will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland immediately following. Mock is survived by his wife, Alice, and daughters, Danielle and Justine; his parents, Bing and Pui Fong Mock; his brothers, Chuck Mock and Kwon Mock; sister, Joanne Mock Chan; brother-in-law, Peter Chan; sister-in-law, Florence Mock; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Mr. Mock's wife and daughters.
