Class of 1978 Big Reunion Cookout July 23 2016 4pm - Until
Details: Message from Dejuanna Parker
Class of '78 Reunion COOKOUT DETAILS:
Time: 4pm - until
The reunion team just met, and we have some information to share. This message will be a bit lengthy, but it's all important. Here goes:
1. The cost of the festivities will be $30 per person/$40 per couple. This amount covers all the meat (whole hog, fish, chicken, etc...), DJ, venue, port-a-potties, bartender).
2. You can start sending monies on March 3. Make checks, money orders to Lucille Allen (Eugene's mother-treasurer for the event) 3246 Longstreet Dr., Petersburg, VA 23805. Please write "Cookout" on the note line. When your payment is received, you will be sent a souvenir arm band that says "Class of 1978...It's a Backyard Party". Please wear the band to the cookout when you enter.
3. We have a "GRILL CREW", but if you have some grill skills, contact Eugene Allen at 804-490-3237, or Fred Dugger at 804-267-0402
4 Glenn Dbo McGilvery (804-687-8331), Glen Webb, and Antoinette Crawley will coordinate the entertainment for the event. Our class is the most talented class that came out of PHS, and we want to showcase those talents. If you have a talent you would like to share during the event, please contact these people. A couple of acts have already been planned...Pamela Spencer is working on the line dance, Glen Webb and DrDejuanna Lovebeingoverfifty Parker are working on a tribute to our classmates who have passed on, and another "top secret" special surprise is in the works. So come on and join the fun!
We also have some needs:
a. Local classmates to help with set-up the day before and the day of the event.
b. Side Dishes: We are asking for classmates to contribute either vegetables, salads, appetizers, and/or desserts. Please provide enough for 30-40 people and whatever is needed for your dish (serving utensils, etc...) You may contact me, Dee Parker, here on our page, or by email at deltagirl50@gmail.com Let me know what kind of dish you would like to bring.
c. Volunteers to help with food serving toward the beginning of the event
d. Volunteers to help with clean-up (We can all pitch in here)
Everyone is welcomed to bring your lawn chairs, coolers, and ice. The hours for the event are 4 p.m. until-. Food crew request that food be brought either the day before or by 2:00 the day of the event. Contact Eugene Allen for that information.
I have attached the flyer to this post so you all can be reminded of the date and location.
I am getting excited!!!! This is going to be SO. MUCH. FUN!!! Let's get this party started!!!
