About	WEST NEWBURY: Karla Marie Rittgers-Davis, 40, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully at home with her parents by her side, Saturday, February 27, 2010. She was born July 23, 1969 to Jon and Flora (Toly) Rittgers in Wakefield, RI. Her mother passed away in 1974 and Karla grew up in West Newbury with her father and step-mother, Ellen Bradley Rittgers. Karla graduated from Pentucket Regional High School where she was an outstanding student, and active in cheerleading. After graduation she attended Iowa State university before moving to Tucson, Arizona. Karla spent nearly ten years working for Alvernon Optical in Tucson, in various positions and the past three years as a Patient Services Specialist at Integrated Pain Center of Arizona. After her son Jon was born in 2001 she moved to the Northwest side of Tucson where she became involved in scouting and T-ball with her son. Karla enjoyed hiking and fishing with her son and taking him to ball games and outings. Her greatest joy was that she was able to participate in so many activities with him before she passed. Survivors, in addition to her son, Jon, include her parents, Jon and Ellen Rittgers of West Newbury; her brothers, Robert of Concord, NH and Justin of Denver, CO; her sister Katherine Karch of Salem, MA; two nephews, Ryan Rittgers and Charles Darwin Karch; her â€œAuntieâ€ Trudy and â€œUncleâ€ Joe Tumidajski of North Smithfield, RI; her loving companion, Matthew and a multitude of close friends and neighbors. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010, 2-4 PM in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Karla Rittgers-Davis Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 27, West Newbury, MA 01985
