Mel Bohince graduated from Penn Trafford High School in 1975 and continued his education at West Virginia University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry. After a short stint with the United States Forest Services, he went to work for Westinghouse for more than seven years living at various sites throughout the country.
Mel moved back to Pittsburgh and earned his MBA at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business. He currently works for a New York-based company Arkay Packaging as Project Manager and resides in Penn Township.
His work with computers led to the development of a community-based local website called www.levelgreen.org which lists community clubs and resources. Many of the websites listed on levelgreen.org were also developed and continue to be maintained by Mel for the benefit of the community.
