Come Celebrate PT
posted Nov 10, 2007
Celebrate PT: We’re Turning the Page!
It’s a Penn-Trafford party, and everyone is invited! Come to the Barnes & Noble of Monroeville (mall annex) on Dec. 3, 4, and 5.
Alumni Social Hours in the café: Dec. 3, 8 - 9:00 pm, Dec. 4, 8:30 - 9:30 pm, and Dec. 5, 10 - 11 am. Activities all day, every day.
This event will showcase the talents of the students, teachers, parents and supporters of PT School District. Authors (including PT's Lori Jakiela, 1982), speakers, and hands-on activities are scheduled. A percentage of B&N profits generated by PT during the event will be used to purchase additional materials for each of the district’s eight libraries. Teachers have also submitted "wish lists" of what they would like for their classrooms. These materials may be purchased on site by parents, friends, and family who want to support their favorite teacher.
In addition, over 30 teachers and principals have been "caught reading." These "jail birds" will be at the store, behind bars, during specific times. Come bail out (or heckle) your favorite teachers! Watch for more info on the district website.
In conjunction with B&N, Carino’s Italian Grille will donate 10% of all PT restaurant sales on Dec. 3 and 4, Monday & Tuesday ONLY. Customers must present a voucher.
Celebrate PT school district, have a great meal, and get your holiday shopping done in the name of a good cause. For schedule of events and B&N & Carino's vouchers, go to: www.penntrafford.org
