| About Me | Joined the Navy, went to Orlando and Chicago for training - got stationed first in Beaufort SC at a small Naval Hospital near Parris Island Marine Corps base... Got married there to Kevin in 1994 – Moved to Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital and started working as a pharmacy technician (another Marine Corps base!) had my daughter Alexis in 1995 and stayed there till 1999 then took orders to Keflavik Iceland for 3 years... (Yes it is nice there... but it does snow like all hell in the winter.) I got orders to Pensacola Naval Hospital from there and finally got a Medical retirement for problems that had been an issue since I was 20 with migraines and unexplainable pain that turned out to be fibromyalgia and ended up with 30% discharge rating from the military (not the VA) in late 2004. Took a few months off and then took a job with a repackaging pharmacy locally. That pharmacy got bought out, so I took the severance pay and kept looking around. I got a job making IV's for people that stay homebound and have things like MRSA and are on IVIG and bleeding disorders etc.... then switched over when offered a job to come back to the naval hospital ...
