About	Jonda Blevins Perkins 1963 - 2006 Jonda Blevins Perkins - 1963-2006 Jonda Blevins Perkins, 43, of Richmond, Ky., formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Friday evening, Sept. 29, 2006, in UK Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. Ms. Perkins was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of Virginia Faulkner Blevins of Ashland and the late J.M. ?Jay Bird? Blevins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a special cousin, Stephen Shanks. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her adorable daughter, Sara Dawson Perkins of Richmond; a sister, Mallerie Blevins of Huntington, W.Va.; an aunt, Kathleen Shanks of Powell, Ohio; an uncle, Glenn Faulkner of Sandy Hook, Ky.; and a host of loving family members and friends. Ms. Perkins was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a 1981 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she received her bachelors degree in education. She also received her masters in counseling. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and the Kappa Mu Epsilon Honor Society. She began her career in education with the Madison County School system where she worked for eight years. She then moved back to Ashland where she taught at Verity Middle School until 2004. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home- Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland. The Rev.
