New Wrestling Book Includes Stories About Parma High Wrestlers

What happens when Dellinger Award winning writer Jim Kalin interviews America’s greatest wrestlers about one of the most legendary coaches in any sport, National Wrestling Hall of Fame member Mike Milkovich? The result is Mustang.

Milkovich was only the third high school coach ever to be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and his Maple Heights Mustangs captured ten Ohio State Championships and finished runner-up eight times.

Writer Kalin's father Jim got his first coaching job at Parma High back in 1966 as assistant coach to Dave Weber. Many former Redmen wrestlers including the dynamic Mason brothers and Bruce Trammell appear throughout the book, and so does coach Pat Semary.

Hi my name is Judy Chabek, I am married to Robert Chabek (he would have graduated with the class of '66 except his family moved to Pa. his senior yr.) His best friend Herbert Fleming class of '66 is battling bladder cancer. Herb served in the Marines and in Vietnam. He is retired from the Rocky River Fire Dept. He was a fireman/emt there. The fund raiser is being held Sunday Sept. 9 2012 at the VFW located at 577 Harris Rd. Sheffield Lake, Ohio 44054.
