Mark Cooper

Class of 1982

Selected to lead department of homeland security in Louisiana. He was tapped by current Governor Jindle. Mark has a real loyalty to the state of Louisiana and has spent the majority of his working career helping others. ( Firefighter in Los Angeles). He made a great impression coming back and helping out with Katrina victims.

Those of us who have known him since 1975 expect him to run for President some day. (He can still recite his 6th grade winning patriotic speech, "I'm going to be the president....")

From Jan 28th, Shreveport times article: "Mark Cooper, chosen to head up Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, is a native of Bossier City. Cooper has served as the Deputy Fire Chief of the Los Angeles County Fire Department since 2003 and has worked in the Los Angeles area since 1991."
