About	Donald James Parkos, 28, of Apple Valley died March 5 1979 at St Paul-Ramsey Hospital. He was born Nov 09 1951 to Mr and Mrs Donald Parkos Sr at Devil's Lake ND and graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1969. From 1969 to 1971 he served in the US Army. He was employed with Donaldson Manufacturing St. Paul. On July 29, 1972 he was married to Sharon Abbott at Park Rapids. Surviving are his wife Sharon, sons Jeff and Jason and daughter Kristen all of Apple Valley; his parents Donald and Cecilia Parkos of Park Rapids; brothers Richard of Bemidji and Gary of Bismarck ND; sisters Debbie Clausen of Goodland, MN, Sandra Gaumer of Grand Forks ND, and Lori Parkos of Park Rapids; and grandparents Mrs. Francis Parkos of Park Rapids and Mr and Mrs John Hager of Detroit Lakes, MN. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Thursday March 8, 1979 at The First Baptist Church of Rosemount with Dr. Ed Johnson Jr. officiating. Pallbearers were John Klingsbury, Jack Scott, Mark Sandstrom, Robert Abbott, Henry Clausen and Barry Abbott. There was a military honor guard and service at the interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
