We will also be holding a community event on Saturday June 11, 2016. We will be feeding the homeless. A Big Shout Out to "The Simple Project" and Brent Bearden. They have graciously offered the use of their facility in Monroe for our class to cook and serve the homeless a meal. We will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs and trimmings. There is a ticket button above to give $5.oo to help pay for the cost of the food.
We will be making flyers to put out, and we will need volunteers to help with this event. Please email me, call or text me if you are willing to help with this event. Please include your name and that you want to volunteer to help make this event a success. My contact information is:

OPJHS and OPHS have teamed up with us and will be holding donation drives to collect hygiene items and individually wrapped foods such as protein or breakfast bars, chips cookies, and snack foods. We will be making goodie bags for the homeless to take with them.
If you would like to make a donation of items to use in goodie bags please let me know. I will make arrangements to meet or pick up items. My contact information is above.

Details:

The reunion events will begin Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at the OPHS homcoming game. We will have a tent for tailgating and light snacks available. Saturday's activities include lunch (probably Johnny's Pizza) at the old high school with games, a tour, etc. Saturday night a Dance is planned at The Atrium in Monroe with a DJ, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Additional activities on Sunday include an invitation to worship with our classmate Melanie Franklin and brunch at the Atrium. Additional details will be provided via email as soon as everything is finalized.

We're having a Birthday P-A-R-T-Y! Sat July 3, 2010 7PM-midnight @ Barak Shriner's on Frontage Rd 1 mile behind Sam's. $50/student, $75/couple, BYOB, there will be setups provided by Barak @ $1 per glass with tips allowed VERY Casual dress, even t-shirt & shorts clothes are required, no birthday suits -Woody! This is Fourth of July weekend, so you can come to the Birthday Party but still have the 4th with your family. It is also a long weekend for those out-of-town. There are several hotels within 1 mile, for those that need one, Best Western, Courtyard by Marriott, Days Inn. Then nearby on Hwy 165 you have Comfort Suites, Motel 6, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, LaQuinta Inn, Ramada, Super 8. Music provided by DJ with 'our' music as her specialty Food provided by Johnny's Pizza and Ray's Famous PoBoys This will be a very laid back ole' time birthday party with cake, food, music, dance, games and even presents! We will be inviting any surviving teachers as our 'guests'. This went over real well at our last reunion.
