About	Obituary for Gary R. Olson Oregon/ Madison Gary R. Olson, age 59, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at his home. He was born on April 15, 1951, in Madison, the son of Ray and Phyllis Olson. Gary was a graduate of Oregon High School. He married Linda K. Hilgers on Dec. 22, 1970, in Madison, and they spent 22 years together. Gary worked at Dorn True Value for 13 years. He was an avid sportsman enjoying the outdoors hunting and fishing, especially camping with his family and friends in Northern Wisconsin. Gary is survived by his son, Ryan (Leslie) Olson; daughter, Melissa (Paul) Wood; four grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Megan, and Hunter; and brothers, Steve (Ellie) Olson, and Mike (Danielle) Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Gary's life will be held GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
