About	Upon entering a room, Geoffrey Metz captured everyone's attention. His personality brightened any gathering, and his smile and sense of humor seized your attention...and your heart. His sparkling eyes reflected his bright character, brimming with loyalty and kindness, integrity, and compassion. A genuine young man, fiercely loyal to his family and friends, Geoff had great compassion for the underdog or those in need. His kind heart has been stilled as Geoff passed away from injuries of an autombile accident. He was 22. Born December 6, 1989 in Mansfield, Geoff was a lifelong area resident. He attended Mansfield Christian School and Ontario where he graduated in 2008. Since pre-school, Geoff played soccer, usually at forward. Some of his best friendships were forged with his soccer teammates. Woven tightly into the fabric of his extended family, Geoff was raised closely with cousins who were as close as siblings. Geoff had a strong work ethic, unusual for a young man of his age. Geoff worked hard at pleasing people, but was no push-over and always stood firm for what he believed. He enjoyed snow-boarding, target shooting and tinkering with auto mechanics. He attended OSU-ATI and was a certified NCCER Heavy Equpment Operator and NCCCO Crane Operator, and was currently working for the Adena Corporation. Geoff had accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and attended Berean Baptist Church where he was baptized at age 17. He is survived by his parents George and Peggy (Zehner) Metz of Ontario; his sister Ellizabeth Metz, Grandfather Robert Zehner of Mansfield and grandparents George and Gladys Metz of Tipp City, Ohio. His cousins, who where loved as his siblings, are Kelly, Ryan, Robert, and Reed Vrooman. His loving maternal Aunts are Connie Zehner, Kathy (Ron) Vrooman, Nancy Watson, and Sally Works.
