About	MANSFIELD: Mary "Lou" Gardner Closson, age 57 of Mansfield passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Mt. Carmel West Hospital following a short illness. She was born January 28, 1955 in Hamilton, the daughter of Carl and June Gardner and was graduated from Ontario High School in 1973. Lou worked in the business office of the former Lazarus Department Store. On July 26, 1980 she married Donald Closson who survives in Mansfield. Lou enjoyed traveling, having visited all but two of the contiguous states. Always looking for a deal, Lou spent the summer months at garage sales and auctions. She liked collectables, especially her Boyd’s Bears. Compassionate and caring, she had a soft spot for animals. Lou and Don loved flowers, completely transforming their yard into an outdoor retreat. In addition to her husband Don, Lou is survived by a daughter Samantha Bell of Norway, three grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Charlotte Gardner of Hamilton, Jerry and Kerry Gardner of Fenton, Michigan, Russell and Nancy Gardner of Dublin, Bill and Cathy Gardner of Shelby; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donna and Kenneth Musick of Mansfield, along with numerous nieces nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.
