About Richard Scott Turner, 49, of Mansfield died at home unexpectedly Sunday, August 10, 2003. Mr. Turner was born November 22, 1953 in Mansfield, Ohio.

A graduate of Ontario High School and Ohio State University, he was a retired computer information specialist and served in Washington D.C. as a liaison for
Senator Howard Metzenbaum.

He was involved in the Junior Olympics programs: diving for Shelly Acres and Stanford 15-meter board and downhill slalom for Snowtrails. He was a long time member and instructor of the Mansfield Aikido Club, JAA Aikido Association. He held a 2nd degree black belt in Pneuma Dawk
Karate and was a Master of Shizuto. He loved gardening, photography and joking with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving partner, Judith Sadowski of Mansfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ron Gonzales; three granddaughters; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jana and Ronald Willis of Mansfield and Penny and Joseph Bonfignore Sr. of Florida; uncle and aunt, Mr. And Mrs. John Turner of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Lieutenant Richard Harlan Turner of the Mansfield Police Department and his mother, Sarah F. Colegrove
Turner.
