About	Columbus: Michael N. Wright, age 60, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born February 28, 1962 in Mansfield to William and Peggy “Del” (Kesling) Wright and graduated from Ontario High School in 1980. A hard worker, Mike started his career in petroleum maintenance with Certified and Maddy. For the last 12 years he was the owner and operator of M&S Petroleum Services as a consultant for all types of filling station repairs and maintenance. Though Mike was a dedicated worker, he always made time for the important things. He volunteered for Special Olympics and enjoyed traveling to watch his children participate in sports. Growing up around auctions, he loved treasure hunting with his parents and brothers for antiques, coins, and knick knacks and had a distinguished eye for finding hidden gems. Vacation time was a special time for Mike and his loved ones. Always near the beach, he enjoyed “a drink in hand, getting a tan,” and just slowing down to take in sunrise and sunset. Many great memories were shared during quality time in Surf City North Carolina, and the beaches of Delaware and Florida. Mike loved being outside. Maintaining a hobby farm in Ashland for over 20 years he raised alpacas, sheep, chickens, pigs and many dogs. He liked nature, especially hiking and was a gifted woodworker. A history buff, he loved collecting books on his favorite historical figure JFK. Michael was also a habitual blood donor, giving on far more than 150 occasions. As a universal blood type, and true to his giving spirit, Mike was passionate about donating blood whenever he was able. He was an enthusiastic Cleveland Indians fan and loved attending games. His legacy will be one of hard work, kindness and generosity. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his only daughter Katelynn Wright of Mansfield; long-time companion and partner Chris Drury of Cardington, step children whom he treated as his own Ashlee and Ryan Drury, his first wife and Katelynn’s mother Karen Wright, brothers Jeff (Stacy) Wright, and Steven (Beth) Wright, beloved nieces and nephews Ben Wright, Jenny (Matt) McGuire, Danielle Wright, Courtenay Wright and Braxton Wright.
