About	Donna Varney, 49, of Chelmsford, a former Easton resident who had been a longtime employee at several telephone companies, died Friday, Oct. 3, at Lowell General Hospital. She was born in Easton on May 5, 1954, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Martha Varney. She was graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School in 1971. She resided in the North Chelmsford section of town. Prior to her retirement in March, Miss Varney worked 32 years in the telecommunications industry, and had been employed at New England Telephone Co., Bell Atlantic Telephone Co., and Verizon Telephone Co. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. She enjoyed the companionship of her two cats, Gizzy and Peek-a-Boo. She leaves her boyfriend, Charles Delaney of Chelmsford; two sisters, Lorinda Spidy of Wilmington, N.C., and Sissy Jones of Easton; her friends, Nancy and Paul Gorrell of Chelmsford; and several niece and nephews.
