About	Roy E. Winters ( January 07, 1947 - August 29, 2017 ) Roy E. Winters of Middleport, NY formerly of North Tonawanda, NY husband of Mary M. Scott Winters entered into rest Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Buffalo General Hospital. He was born in North Tonawanda, NY January 7, 1947, the son of the late George B. and Laura Joyner Winters. He married Mary M. Scott December 21, 1973. Father of Adam B. Winters and Wendy Marie Winters. Brother of Dinane Lyn (Jim) Pasciak. Brother in law of Ian (Barbara) Scott, Barbara, Antonette Scott, Ernie Chank, Bruce Scott and the late Ninette Chank. Son in law of the late Milton A. and Joan W. Scott. Uncle of Jenifer Lyn, Kimberly Joy, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Julie and Katherine Sofia. Grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Winters. Dear friend of Joe and Karen VaLone. The family and very grateful for the help of Don Deitrich. He worked for Riley Gear, Trico and GM at the Lockport location. Roy was an avid hunter of Deer and game birds, he liked to go fishing, boating and going to the cabin on the weekends. He grew up in North Tonawanda for the first 26 years of his life, he also lived in Wheatfield for 21 years. He married his wife Mary M. Scott on December 21, 1973. They moved to Barker in June of 1994 and then to Middleport in 1995 and have been there ever since. He enjoyed looking for deer markings and for turkey. He also belonged to the NRA and an archery club. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on WEDNESDAY September 6, 2017 from 4 - 7PM where a funeral service will be on THURSDAY September 7, 2017 at 12 NOON, burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery Town of Hartland.
