About	James R. Copella September 9, 1940 ~ March 16, 2017 James R. Copella, age 76, of Holland, died Thursday, March 16, 2017. Born September 9, 1940 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Donald and Margaret (nee Weaver) Copella. James had been employed as a General Operations Manager at Consolidated Freightways in Tonawanda until retiring and was an active member and volunteer at The Chapel at Crosspoint in Amherst. He was the husband of the late Bonnie (nee Smith) Copella, who died December 22, 2015; father of Jamie Copella of Amherst, Joseph Copella of West Seneca, John (Karen) Schinabeck of Ludlow, Massachusetts, Margaret (Craig) McClain of McKinney, Texas, and Catherine (Jason) Daugherty of Portland, Tennessee; grandfather of Thane, Logan and Hunter Schinabeck, Justin and Joseph Copella, Jr., Jacob and Adelyn Daugherty, and Norah and Stella McClain; brother of the late Donald Copella, Jr. and Jack Copella; brother in law of Beverly Copella of Lockport. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-6 PM on Monday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday; the Rev. Jerry Gillis officiating. Friends invited. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst. If desired, memorials to The Chapel at Crosspoint, 500 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville, NY 14068, are preferred by the family.
