About	Joseph Nicholas Colatarci, 73, of Fort Myers, FL died on November 9, 2015 at Hope Hospice. He was born on May 14, 1942 in North Tonawanda, NY, a son of Teresa and Joseph Colatarci. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Joe was an active member of the North Tonawanda community where he was known for his football talents throughout his high school and college years. Prior to playing college ball at the University of Buffalo, he refined his skills at North Tonawanda High School (NTHS) from 1956-1960 in which he was chosen as a 'standout' guard for the NFL All-Star team. As the 1960 NTHS class president, Joe recognized the importance of leadership and yearned to lead the way for his peers. At 33 years old, Joe was elected as Tonawanda City treasurer and continued to lead the way for his family and community. In 1981, the Colatarci family moved to Fort Myers, FL where they began to take root making lifelong memories and friends. No one who met Joe could forget his infectious passion for family. In 1963, Joe married his better half, Marsha Colatarci, He lost her only two short months before his passing. Having been married for nearly 53 years, Joe lost himself when he lost her. He simply could not live without her. Let it bring you comfort in knowing that their souls have been reunited and both, Marsha and Joe, are finally at peace. He is survived by his children, Barbara Ann Keim (Jeff) and Joseph Frank Colatarci (Tara Smith), his four grandchildren, Carley Ann Keim (Michael Sklorenko), Emily Kay Keim, Joseph Dylan Colatarci and Nicholas Joseph Colatarci. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Kobel, his sister-in-laws, Jackie Yonkers and Kathy Hemminger, brother-in-law and his wife, Earl and Karen Loeswick and many nieces and nephews. There will not be a memorial service held at this time. Instead, the family has chosen to combine Marsha's previously planned celebration of life with Joe's. At which time, the family will highlight and honor their lives by sharing wonderful memories of them amongst family and friends.
