About Kaare was born to Bruce and Judi Taylor in Seattle. The family moved to Poulsbo in August 1978. Kaare graduated from North Kitsap High School with honors in 1992, and while he was an excellent student, one of his happiest days was when he made the varsity tennis team. Kaare loved sports and was an enthusiast to say the least. Kaare's other passion was music, beginning when he joined the jazz band playing tenor sax. He found great enjoyment in everything from Miles Davis to Bob Dylan.
Kaare attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, from 1992 to 1996. While attending Baylor, Kaare worked as a youth pastor for the First United Methodist Church. He stayed in Waco after graduating and spent three years teaching at an alternative high school working with inner-city students.
In September 1999, Kaare married Kristin Schively of Dallas, and in March 2003, they had Kaedyn Faith Taylor. His daughter was the light of his life.
Kaare quit teaching in 2000, and began a career in sales, selling textbooks to both colleges and high schools. In his last position, he was a high school Advanced Placement technology specialist.
Along with Kaedy, Kaare is survived by his loving parents, Bruce and Judi; sister, Kaisa and her husband Jeff Ferguson of Poulsbo; grandparents, Gene and Carrie Harmon; Aunt Karen Gratix; and Uncle David Harmon, both of Everett; Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary Harmon of Plymouth, Mass.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Aunt Sue Clifton; his paternal grandparents, Areha and Glenn Taylor; and Aunt Marjorie Lott.
Kaare's smiling face and quick wit will be missed by everyone who knew him.
