Obituary
On Wednesday December 30th, 2020, Curtiss Wade Smith, a beloved father and husband passed away at the age of 65. Curtiss was born on February 28, 1955 in Hagerstown, MD to Billy Lee Smith and Shirley Myers. Curtiss was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He worked many jobs, mostly in precision sheet metal fabrication for over 25 years. He married Victoria Willman, they had a daughter, Jessie, and son, Cary. Curtiss was an avid reader and lover of all things Tolkien, had a passion for Dungeons and Dragons, a strong penchant for world history, and a laugh that forced a smile on anyone present. His love of music was known to all, if you passed him on the street he was probably singing. His immense heart and care was felt by anyone lucky enough to have met him and he will be missed by many. Curtiss was preceded in death by his father Billy, and his mother, Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Torrie, his children, Jessie and Cary, his brothers, Mark and Jon, his sisters, Christy and Keeley, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 precautions, a service will not be immediately held, a private ceremony will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com.
