About	Dolores Hurlburt Long, of the Town of Newburgh, NY, died December 17, 2008 at Vassar Bros. Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. She was 73. The daughter of the late Paul Vitola and the late Edith Lease, she was born May 3, 1935, Brooklyn, NY. She is the wife of John Long, who predeceased her September 16, 2004. She is the owner of Vortek International, Corp., Newburgh, NY. St. Dolores was dedicated contributor to the St. Jude's Foundation, the National AIDS Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, National Humane Society, as well as locally for the Town of Newburgh, and numerous other environmental and wildlife organizations. Survivors include her son, David Vitalli of the Town of Newburgh, NY; daughter, Debbie Hall of the Town of Newburgh, NY; one granddaughter, Aubrey Hall, and, one great-grandson, Daniel Anthony Beck. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, William C. Covert, IV on May 20, 1993. Visitation will be held Friday, December 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd. (Route 32), Newburgh, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20, at 9:30 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, Robinson Ave., Newburgh, NY. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
