About	James R. “Rick” Owens, age 63, resident of rural New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 29, 2018 at Henry Community Health. He was born February 9, 1954 in New Castle, Indiana, a Son of the late Earl G. and Dora Dean Gibson Owens. He was a 1972 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School and a lifelong resident of the New Castle area. He had worked several years for Chrysler Corporation and was in business many years with his Father, owning and operating a professional painting company. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Moose Lodge. He loved, playing pool, poker, and was an automobile enthusiast who enjoyed drag racing and building model cars. He was a dedicated Father and loved Family activities and sharing precious time with his twin Daughters. Left to cherish his loving memory include: Twin Daughter; Casi D. Owens and Jamie N. Owens, both of New Castle. He was preceded in death by: his Parents, and Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday February 2, 2018 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services in New Castle. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday February 2, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Tom McGilliard officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
