Wesco graduated from Musselman High School in Inwood, West Virginia, where his athletic abilities began to shine.

Following high school, Wesco attended Lackawanna College from 2014 to 2015 before transferring to West Virginia University from 2016 to 2018. In the 2019 NFL Draft, Wesco was selected as the 121st overall pick in the fourth round by the New York Jets.
