Class of 1981

Gruduated from Mt.Enterprise High School in 1981, In 1952 went to work for the Texas Dept. Corrctions, now call Texas Dept. Criminal Justice-Institutional Division. Durring my time with TDCJ I had the fortune to travel though out the United States, and meeting other Law Enforcement Agency's.
I went through the ranks as an officer where I was assigned to several Correctional Units, including the Powledge Unit in Palestine, the Ferguson Unit in Huntsville, The Coffield Unit in Palestine, at the time was the largest prison in the State of Texas with over 4000 inmates and a Maximum Security Unit.
In 1995 I transfered to the Skyview / Hodge Unit in Rusk. And in 1997 I was promoted to Supervisor. and now as of August-31, 2010 I retired as an Sergeant in the Hodge Food Service Dept. In total I worked for the State of Texas for 28 years
I now plan on working around the home place and taking care of my Mom, after loosing my Dad to cancer in 2006. And maybe getting the chance to see some of my old class mates. I would like the chance to be able to talk with Students from the Mt.Enterprise School Disctrict about the choices they make and how it will affect them the rest of their lives.
