About	Janine Lynn Brooks, age 42, of McLean, VA, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington. Born November 14, 1972 in Salt Lake City, UT; she was the daughter of the Henry Brooks Jr and the late Nancy Elizabeth (Clark) Brooks. Janine graduated from Mooresville High School with the class of 1990. She attended Indiana Business College, receiving an Associates in Applied Science and eventually earning her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Strayer University. With her educational background Janine worked various jobs. McDonald's being her first one during high school, where she went from a line employee to a manager and loved it. She still kept in touch with people from all those years ago. She worked at Galyan's, Simon Malls and once moving to Virginia in 2002 she did temp jobs including Walden Books until finding her permanent job at LMI. Working for LMI brought Janine many growth opportunities, and her last position was as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor. Her work ethic was like no other; even when finding out she had cancer in January 2012, she continued to work as much as possible. She was not going to let cancer stop her. She started walking with different groups to raise money for pancreatic cancer research, the latest being Purple Stride. Some of the most common ways Janine is described is funny, generous, steady, loyal, brave, special and hardworking...she was this way to anyone that knew her. With a heart as big as her smile she was the best daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, co-worker or friend you could ask for. Survivors include her father, Henry Brooks Jr.; her siblings: Shere Elizabeth Brooks and Marc William (Petya) Brooks; her nephew: Zachary Michael-Scott; her nieces: Alexandra Elizabeth and Michaela Stephanie. As well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. In Virginia: Memorial services will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 6-8 p.m. in the Advent Funeral and Cremation Services, Falls Church, VA; with a private burial at a later date. In Indiana: Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 6-8 p.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with the burial at Oaklawn Cemetery, Indianapolis held privately at a later date.
