Class of 1979

A member of the Class of '79 Jeff Kottkamp attended Mooreville High School his Freshman and Sophmore years. His family then moved to Florida. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University Jeff then earned a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Florida College of Law. In 2000 he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives where he served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. He was subsequently re-elected to the House in 2002 and 2004. In 2006 Jeff was elected as Florida's 17th Lieutenant Governor. As Lieutenant Governor Jeff served as Chairman of Florida's Children and Youth Cabinet, Chairman of Space Florida, Chairman of the Florida Sports Foundation and oversaw the Office of Drug Control, the Office of Adoption, and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
