About	James R. "Jim" Hanson; Age 87 of Neville Island, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved children, Diana Repack and Chad Hanson, his granddaughter, Norah Hanson, and his two ex-wives, Delores David, and Ramona Henderson. Jim was born on August 18, 1935, to the late Stacy and late Christine (Ross) Hanson. He was preceded in death by his brother Kenny (Ollie) Hanson. His life included 1953 graduation from Moon High School, played football for Moon High School 1951 and 1952, Coraopolis Record sports reporter, usher and member of St. Joseph Church in Coraopolis, 38 years with Aristech Chemical Corporation, 5 years in the U.S. Army, 20 years Neville Township auditor, 14 years Neville Township commissioner, Treasurer, player and coach in the Neville Suburban Softball League and in the Neville Industrial Basketball League, Democratic committeeman and vice-chair, STA school bus driver for 10 years, Sewickley YMCA Senior Men’s club member, McKees’s Rocks AARP #2203 member, and Steelers season ticket holder since 1970. Jim was also a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins. Friends welcome Thursday 2-4, 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery to follow.
