About	Gerald E. Shanks 61 of 1145 1/2 E 2nd St. Oil City, PA. died at 5:46 P.M. Saturday Nov. 7, 2009 at the St. John Lutheran Care Center in Mars, PA. He suffered a stroke on 8/26 and has been hospitalized ever since. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 11, 1948 son of the late Donald and Joyce Ann Plaunt Shank. Working as an electronics technician he helped design remote control devices for locomotives and other applications in the transportation industry. He is survived by his wife Marri Evans Shank and his children Gerald Wayne , Gregory, Jeffrey and Gina. He is also survived by siblings Paula, Lisa, Mark, Susan and Daniel. At his request he will be cremated. Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.
