Sequoia Antrice Holmes, born on June 13, 1986, in North Las Vegas, Nevada, is a well-recognized figure in the world of women’s basketball. A distinguished student at Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and an alumni of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), she has made her mark both at home and abroad in the sport.

During her stint at UNLV from 2004 to 2008, Holmes managed to build an impressive stat sheet. She played a total of 120 games during her college career with an average of 12.4 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, a field goal percentage of 40.4%, and a three-point percentage of 29.2%. She also recorded 2.2 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game, demonstrating her versatile skill set.

Upon transitioning to a professional career after being undrafted in the 2008 WNBA draft, Holmes proved her mettle by playing for various international and domestic teams. She made her WNBA debut with the Houston Comets in 2008, and later played for the Phoenix Mercury in 2010, and the San Antonio Stars in 2017. Holmes returned home to Nevada in 2018 to play for the Las Vegas Aces before moving abroad to play for teams like G.D. Interclube, Bnei Yehuda, Canik Belediyesi, Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Holon, and Panathinaikos.

Her trophies include two gold medals won at the FIBA Africa Women's Clubs Champions Cup in 2014 and 2015, representing her team Interclube. It's evident that her journey from crossing the court in Mojave High School to winning international medals has been fueled by dedication and hard work.
