In 2009 Portland Oregon police arrested a burglary suspect. They later recovered several pieces of Jewelry which could not be linked to a known burglary victim. Among those items were two class rings from the same school. One was a Man's ring from 1948 and the other was a woman's ring from 1949. Based on the circumstances, police believe that these two rings may belong to high school sweethearts who married, and now 60 years later have had their home burglarized. They would very much like to reunite these rings with their owners.
Unfortunately, the rings do not identify the name of the school which they represent. While the image on the front of the rings is obviously a native American male, there are over 800 schools in the US which use "Indians", "Warriors", "Braves", etc, as their mascot. Therefore, the only realistic chance of finding the rings' owners is if someone recognizes the rings as being associated with a specific school.
If anyone recognizes the rings as being associated with a specific school or knows of someone who is missing these specific rings, please contact Portland Police Sergeant Troy King at 503-823-0413 or by email at troy.king@portlandoregon.gov
