Danny Bynum

Class of 1962

Joining the Air Force was the best decion I made at that time. I was military police stationed at Edwards AFB, CA. There were two functions for military police, security and patrol. We were scheduled one or the other. I received a Letter of Appreciation for guarding a contractor helicopter that crashed in the Mojave Desert. I was one of three airman chosen to lower the flag to half staff on the day President Kennedy was assinated. And I received a Certificate from President Johnson for providing security for him on his visit to Edwards. After my discharge I went to Work for the Department of the Army. In the twenty-seven years that I worked for the Army I received twenty-three awards, either monitary, promotions or Letters of Appreciation/Recomendation. I reached the grade of GS-13. Since my retirement I have written two novels and on September 2009 I was chosen to become a member of Cambridge Who's Who. I have had the opportunity to meet doctors, lawyers and other writers.
