About	Opal Iva Davis Wieg, 63, of Wilmington passed away peacefully on March 16, 2016, in the comfort of her home after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Opal was born on July 25, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Earl and Elizabeth Davis. Opal graduated from Minford High School in 1970 and married her husband of 46 years, Joachim (Joe) Wieg. Opal enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending most of her time doting over her granddaughters, Raven and Violet. They will deeply miss their "Oma." Opal is survived by her spouse, Joe Wieg; son, Joachim Wieg; daughters, Christina Wieg, Angela Ambler Wieg Bland, Cindy Copeland, and their children; brothers, Edward Davis and Ben Davis; sisters, Lena Weber, Lisa Gilpin, Hattie Robinson, and Flora Kane (and their respective families); and many other family and friends.
