About	Gerald P. "Jerry" Hickey, 46, of Toms River, joined the Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was born in Red Bank and lived most of his life in Middletown before moving to Toms River in 2002. He was a self-employed carpenter and property preservationist. He graduated from Middletown Township High School North in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" (Ritchings) Hickey; his son, Christopher Wood and his wife Amanda; his daughter, Cynthia Lynn "Kid" Wood; his mother and step-father, Joyce and Richard Nyce; his father and step-mother, Gerald B. and Nancy Hickey; his mother-in-law, Valerie Ritchings; his paternal grandmother, Anna Hickey; his maternal grandmother, Frances Beni; his brother, Joseph Hickey and his wife Trish; his brother, Christopher Nyce and his wife Liz; and his sister, Jennifer M. McHale and her husband Dave. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob and Zachery "Little Man", along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 17 from at Neptune City Firehouse, 56 Laurel Ave., Neptune City. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gerald's name to your favorite charity or organization.
