About	Nancy L. nee Zunt Hardy, 64 6 Feb 1948 - 28 Sep 2012 Amherst High School - Class of 1966 ""AMHERST - Nancy L. Hardy nee: Zunt, 64 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Amherst Hospital following a sudden illness. Nancy was born February 6, 1948 in Amherst, Ohio. She was a lifetime resident of Amherst and graduated from Amherst High School in the class of 1966. Nancy and her husband Tom recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. She was employed as a teacher through Clearview School Systems for thirty years working the majority of the time at Vincent Elementary School where she taught 2nd and 3rd grade before retiring in 2006. Nancy was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst where she taught Sunday School and vacation Bible school. She was a member of the Amherst Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1442 Auxiliary where she held many offices. Her hobbies included reading, bowling and golf. Nancy also enjoyed traveling to casinos with her friends. Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty years Tom; her daughter and her husband Rachel and Aaron Williams of Columbus; her granddaughter Olivia; her brothers and their wives Gary and Linda Zunt, of Gainsville, Florida, Allen and Betty Zunt, of New Port Richey, Florida, Chuck and Marie Zunt, of Berlin Heights; her sister and her husband Carol and Doyle Matlock, of Amherst. She will be missed by numerous friends, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Zunt; and her mother Evelyn Doris Zunt-Azok (nee: Stang). Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. A Memorial Service will take place Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson pastor will officiate. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst, OH 44001.
