About	Keith Dotson, 49 1 Jun 1963 - 26 Jun 2012 Marion L Steele High School, Class of 1981 "Keith Dotson, 49 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born June 1, 1963 in Amherst, Ohio. Keith was a lifetime resident of Amherst and graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in the class of 1981. Keith proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He owned and operated Dotson Painting and was a painting contractor for twelve years. Keith was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Elyria. He was very fond of his connections with the Stella Maris Detox Unit in Cleveland and was proud of his association with the local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous. Keith loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed the time he traveled with the Marines. Keith had a love of music which he enjoyed expressing through his acoustic guitar, playing not only at home but in several small bands in the area. Survivors include his wife of seven years Angela Garcia-Dotson; his son Matthew Ryan Dotson of Grafton, his daughters Isabella Rose Plumb of Elyria; Alyson Sue Dotson of Amherst; his parents Roy and Jewel Dotson (nee: Messer) of Amherst; his grandchildren Mason Ryan Dotson and Avri Lynn Dotson; his brother and his wife Troy and Sue Dotson of Amherst and his sister and her husband Sabrina and Frank Boyson of Elyria. Friends may call Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Closing Prayers will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. from St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church; 41295 North Ridge Road, East, Elyria. The Rev. Fr. James Ols, pastor, will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
