About	Carol Ann nee Kamody Tillotson, 57 9 Feb 1954 - 31 Jul 2011 Marion L Steele High School - Class of 1972 "AVON LAKE – Carol Ann Tillotson, age 57, of Avon Lake, OH. After a 6 ½ year battle with Breast Cancer passed at her home with her husband by her side, on Sunday, July 31, 2011 and now rests peacefully in heaven. Carol was born, Carol Ann Kamody, on February 9, 1954 in Lakewood growing up in Amherst and graduating from Marion Steel High school in 1972. From the very early age of 6 or 7, Carol was encouraged by her mother to play the piano thus becoming a huge part of Carol's life. Studying music at Baldwin Wallace, Bowling Green, Akron universities, Carol majored in Musical Accompaniment. During her professional career, Carol taught private piano lessons, inspiring at times nearly 50 students per year. Carol's love of her music spread as she enjoyed being very active in community theater: with MGP; Workshop Players; Lorain Community Music Theater and small group, NEOREP. Carol also served as an accompanist for the Vermilion High School choirs and their Soundsations Group.; Oberlin Choristers Touring Choir and taught Kindermusik. Carol met her love, her best friend and husband Matt, while playing for MGP and together they enjoyed favorite places such as Disney world, Cedar Point and the Cleveland Zoo. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Edward Kamody, and mother, Lou Kamody. She is survived by her husband Matt Gould, her son Andy Tillotson, his wife Collin, her brothers Larry and Steve Kamody, their wives Lisa and Colleen, a step-son Matthew and nine nieces and nephews, and one grandson. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at The United Church of Christ, at 32801 Electric Blvd in Avon Lake, OH with a reception immediately following at the church.
