About	Rebecca Ann nee King Hughett, 58 5 August 1952 - 26 May 2011) Class of 1971 "Rebecca Ann Hughett nee King, 58 years of age, and a resident of Amherst Township, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a 5 ½ year illness with cancer. She was born August 5, 1952 in Charleston, West Virginia. Coming to Lorain County as an infant, Rebecca was raised in Amherst Township where she lived most of her life and graduated from Marion L. Steele High School with Honors in 1971. She then graduated from Lorain County Community College with a two-year degree. Rebecca work for the Wendy's Corp. Managing various restaurants for ten years. She then served as an accountant for the Nacs Corp. in Oberlin for four years before retiring. With a family history of kidney problems, she was an active supporter of the American Kidney Foundation and enjoyed supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her hobbies included traveling, yard work, landscaping and remodeling. Survivors include her husband of twenty-two years Roy Hughett; her stepdaughters and their husbands Mary Ellen and Mike Wilson of Florence Township and Amanda and Ronnie Hudson of Elyria; four step grandchildren; and her sister Karen King of Sheffield Township. She was preceded in death by her parents Hershel and Inez King (nee: Hunter); and by a sister Lisa Marie King. Funeral services will be held privately by the family. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to American Cancer Society; North Regional Office; 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106 or the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
