"AMHERST — Constance E. Schuller (nee Barck), age 82, lifelong resident of Amherst, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at EMH Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

Connie was born in Amherst, February 15, 1928, to the late Frank F. and Pauline M. (nee Bartlome) Barck. She was a 1946 graduate of Central School, Amherst.

After graduating high school Connie worked as a sales clerk at the former Smith and Gerhardt Clothing Store in downtown Lorain.

Eventually she came to work in the old downtown Amherst at the Ben Franklin Dime Store and the former Kamody’s Pharmacy.

In later years she was a sales clerk at Gail’s World in Sheffield.

Connie was a life member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst, and belonged to the Circle Six of the church.

She met monthly with her high school friends and in her younger years she enjoyed gardening, fishing with her husband, cooking and baking, and caring for her pet dogs.

Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Deborah L. and Steve Matthews of Dacula, Georgia; three granddaughters; Melissa Gomez of Grayson, Georgia, Heather (husband Gregg) Foster of Social Circle, Georgia, Stefanie Matthews of Loganville, Georgia; eight great grandchildren; and one sister.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert J. Schuller, who passed away August 6, 2000.

Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Friday, at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst."
