Ehrman, 42, of Amherst, died Monday, August 18, 2003, at New Life Hospice Residential Center, following an illness with cancer. He was born May 3, 1961, in Goldsboro, NC. He lived in Amherst since 1970. Ehrman was employed as a quality control machine operator for Lorain County Automotive Systems for 7 years. He received the Amherst Police Assistance Award in 1985 and was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church, Amherst. He enjoyed camping, hiking, bird-watching, gardening and American History. Survivors include his companion, Kathy Woodhull of Lorain; his father, William Ehrman of Amherst; brother, Steve C. Ehrman of Tererro, NM; and sisters Debra K. James of Duluth MN, and Nancy K. Carter of Aurora, Colo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys J. Ehrman nee Gustafson, in 2001. Friends may call Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m., at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where services will be Friday at 11a.m. The Rev. Karen Heyburn of Park Avenue United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst OH.
