About	Daniel Charles Grundy, age 24 Class of 1979 Per Genealogy Room of Lorain Public Library - obituary dated Friday, 17 Jan 1986, states Dan Grundy, "Daniel Charles Grundy, 24, a lifelong resident of Amherst, died Thursday morning in his dormitory at Wright State University. The Green County coroner will rule on cause of death. He was a 1979 graduate of Marion L Steele High School, Amherst, and was a freshman at Wright State University. Daniel was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Elyria, and a past treasurer of the Great Lakes National Spinal Cord Society. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Linda Grundy of Amherst; a sister, Mrs. Michael (Lisa Marie) Martin; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Grundy, Elyria, and maternal grandparents, Charles and Marion McClue of Elyria. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew Episcopal Church. The Rev. Roderic H. Pierce, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain." The exact date of birth is not listed in the obituary. As as side note, Dan was in a car accident less than one week after graduation at the intersection of W 40th and Leavitt Road and totaled his car in 1979. He was paralyzed and spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
