| About | Meg Berté Owen ’90, Manchester High School and '94 mcl at Harvard, M.B.A. ’00 also from Harvard, died from complications of Hodgkin’s lymphoma on October 15, 2009 in New York City. She was a Wall Street investment analyst who worked for Wells Fargo, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and Moore Capital in the course of her career. After her diagnosis, she devoted herself to advocating for cancer research and helping other patients cope with the disease; a gifted athlete who was all-American in soccer and varsity soccer team captain while at Harvard, in 2005 she was a member of the Tour of Hope team, led by Lance Armstrong, that crossed the country by bicycle to send an inspiring message to survivors and raise money for the cause. She leaves her husband, Larry, her parents, Paul and Susan Berté, a sister, Sira Berté and her husband Brian, her brothers, Benjamin and Thomas Berté and his wife Nikki and one niece, Mia and one nephew Sam who she loved and adored. |
