About Memorial service for David P. Fisher, 55, Port Orange, who was called home to be with his Savior, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at First Baptist Church of Daytona. Mr. Fisher was born in Kansas City, Kansas and moved to this area in 1984 to work at Adventure Diving. He worked for the last 22 years at Mainland High School where he taught business, science and coached basketball. He most recently served as a guidance counselor. He earned a MBA at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. Dave was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona where he loved working in the television ministry and enjoyed fellowship with his friends in Sunday school. He enjoyed boating, fishing and scuba diving. Dave was an avid sports fan and especially loved following the Gators. He loved photography and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 20 years and best friend, Cindy; sons, Dylan Fisher (14), Port Orange; brothers, Don Fisher (Charlene), Lee's Summit, Mo, Steve Fisher (Yvonne), Bonner Springs, Kansas; sister, Stacia Kepler (Ric), Kansas City, Kansas; aunts, Shirley Bone and Patricia Fisher, both of Lenexa, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 118 N. Palmetto Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114 or to any research on Pulmonary Fibrosis.
