About Me What have I done since 1979, let me see, well, first I was talked into joining the Navy by David Price, thanks a lot Dave! We go into the buddy program and go to boot camp together...how great is that! Then I never saw him again. But that's ok, in 1981 while stationed in Groton, CT I met the woman I knew I was going to marry and somehow talked her into marrying me on February 27, 1982. This was by far my best move yet. Ok, thanks Dave. In January of 1983, we were blessed with our first child. In the summer of 83 I got out of the Navy and moved to Manchester, NH where I worked first as a welder and then as a warehouse worker. After we were blessed with our second child in June of 1984, I came to my senses and went back into the Navy; we moved to Vancouver, WA. In August of 1985, we were blessed with our third (and only west coast) child. ok, time for a rest, what were we thinking, three toddlers 1 year apart. In 1987, we moved to Middletown, RI and in 1989, yes you guessed it, we were blessed with our fourth child. In the winter of 1990, I had my orders to move to Chicago, IL and my family moved up to Northern New Hampshire and yes, we were blessed with our fifth child. Talk about a pattern, we need to stop moving. But move we did, and in 1994 we moved to Slidell, LA where in 1997 I retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. I went to work for Future-Tec Management Systems as a Testing and Evaluation Analyst. In 1998 I took a position with the US Government working in Information Technology and am now the Regional Technical Officer for the New England Region, for the Office of Inspector General. In July of 2009 I received my official retirement papers from the Navy. Wahoo. June 6, 2010 I was promoted to the position of Chief, Northeaster Support Center. So now I not only have the 6 New England states but I'm also responsible for New York, New Jersey and Porto Rico. In February of 2012 my wife and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been 30 years... I guess it's really tru...(read more)
