About	Services for Rick L. Simpson of Longview will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2017 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Longview, Texas with Bro. Charles Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 9-10 a.m., preceding the funeral at the church. Rick passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Houston. He was born august 1, 1946 in Gilmer, Texas, the son of the late Leo G. "Skeeter" and Mary V. Simpson. Rick will be remembered by his family as a loving father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. Also, as the biggest OU Sooner Fan ever!He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Simpson, one son Scott and wife Jeanie of Longview, son Drake and wife Ivy of Missouri City; sister Brenda Martin and husband Walter of Longview; four grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Brandi Simpson.
